On April 20, Sun Wei, Deputy General Manager of the China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC) and his delegation visited the distribution center of CSSC Marine Service Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as CMS) located in the Yangshan Free Trade Port Area of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone.
Yangshan Distribution Center of CMS is a bonded warehouse under the supervision of the Customs. It has also obtained qualification and permits for storage of non-bonded goods. Currently, it is mainly used for storing low-speed diesel engine spare parts. The center covers an area of more than 9000m2 and can store more than 20,000 different parts and components.
Vice President Sun Wei and his delegation visited the bonded and non-bonded goods storage area, electronic picking system, and packing system in accordance with the general warehouse-in and warehouse-out procedure. In addition, he carefully inquired about the operating status of the Yangshan Distribution Center of CMS. Mr. Sun expressed recognition and praise when he learned that a third-party professional logistics management company was introduced for joint management of Yangshan Distribution Center of CMS.
Relevant leaders from CSSC Technology Department, Hudong Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd., CSSC Marine Power Co., Ltd. and CMS accompanied Sun in the course of visit and research.
